OLD BONES RYE 10 YEAR RESERVE

Old Bones Rye is an elegant whiskey that is equally perfect for celebrating special occasions and treating yourself at the end of the day. We reserve our Old Bones label for whiskey that is aged for at least 10 years. We have owned these barrels for several years and have patiently and confidently allowed them to age slowly. To this end, you will find a full-bodied whiskey with a youthful personality that is starting to show some interesting secondary flavors. To accentuate these flavors, we finished 20% of the whiskey in this batch for a short time in apera barrels (Australian sherry). One of the hallmarks of this batch is a concentrated sweetness that is balanced and interesting.

Mash Bill Or Blend: 95% Rye; 5% Malted Barley

Distillation: Lawrenceburg, IN

Proof: 110

Current Batch: #2

Cases Produced: 280

Tasting Notes: A delightful aroma of orange peel and a subtle hint of vanilla on the nose. On the front of the palate, there is a touch of peppery cool mint that blossoms into a sweet honey flavor in the midpalate. The sweetness of the honey develops into a delicious butterscotch toffee that is carried through the long-lasting finish.
